Suzy Martinez received her MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University, Mediation Certification from the City of Seattle and her Bilingual-Cross Cultural teaching credential from Chico State. Suzy is the founder of Expanded Connection, Inc., which facilitates workshops in English and Spanish nationally in communication, language, cultural acquisition utilizing art, dance, music, theater and whole brain learning. Suzy created ALAS, Arts Latin American Stories events, focused on cultural celebration and intercultural dialogue, vital components to the health of our communities. Recently she held the postion of Comissioner of Hispanic Affairs working as an advocate for arts and education in Washington State.
